JAMES MILNER says Liverpool simply weren’t good enough as he analysed his side’s shock 2-0 defeat by sbo333 Red Star Belgrade. The Reds' sloppy defence was punished by Milan Pavkov, who had never scored a European goal before the match, but bagged a first-half brace to blow Group C wide open. The Serb headed the hosts in front in the 22nd minute before striking a stunning 25-yard drive sbo333 past Alisson after Liverpool failed to close him down just seven minutes later. Jurgen Klopp’s side were second best in the first half, with Vujadin Savic and El Fardou Ben Nabouhane both going close before the opener. Daniel Sturridge made a rare start but failed his audition for more action as he fluffed his lines from six yards after 17 minutes. He was substituted at half-time and Liverpool enjoyed 80 per cent possession in the second half. Despite Liverpool hitting the woodwork twice, Red Star held on for what was a deserved victory. And Milner was scathing as he tried to explain what went wrong.
“We didn't start well enough. We have had sbo333enough chances to get back into the game and we didn't take them.
“Passing the ball wasn't good enough. We didn't start and when you don't start in the Champions League you get punished.
"You can't give teams the start, the crowd is big for them and it's been a long time since they've been in the Champions League.
“Napoli found it tough when they came here and we knew it was going to be a tough place to come.
